Te Papa’s vision for the future is to change hearts, change minds, and change lives. The Museum’s role is to act as a forum for change in Aotearoa New Zealand. It is to help people form ideas about the world, through experiencing and sharing different perspectives, so that they can take action from an informed position.
Te Papa is committed to developing a long term strategic plan to achieve it's vision for the future and help guide the Museum through the next ten years.

Te Papa’s proposed programmes of development
Work has begun on developing the programmes of development which will form part of the strategic plan.
These programmes set out what Te Papa proposes to do to have the greatest impact on the nation and achieve its vision for the future.
We invite you to provide feedback on what is being proposed.

Section 2: Developing Te Papa – This section sets out what Te Papa proposes to do to develop itself
All feedback will be considered in refining these ideas and developing them further.
Te Papa aims to finalise its long-term strategic plan by December. A final copy of the long term strategic plan will be available on this website in January 2012.
