  • We had a wonderful experience holding our wedding at Te Papa! From the booking process to the big day itself, we found the staff to be most helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We initially booked Icon at Te Papa for our reception but after realizing that our wedding fell on the same day as the Homegrown concert, we decided to hold our ceremony there as well. Glenn Lust did a fantastic job coordinating the day. He found a stunning space for the cocktail hour while Icon was switched over from ceremony to reception area. Meanwhile we took our photos in the beautiful backdrop of Te Papa’s pond, which was nicely secluded from the concertgoers. The food was absolutely perfect! Every dish was cooked to perfection and our guests still talk about it! Glenn and his team executed our vision perfectly and we are thrilled to recommend Te Papa to anyone looking to hold their party in a stylish venue operated by highly skilled and talented people!

There is a lot to organise and decide on when you are choosing a wedding venue. From arranging your wedding ceremony venue to adding the final touches and details on the day, our wedding packages offer everything you will need to relax and enjoy your special day.

When it comes to creating a truly memorable occasion, it's the attention to detail that counts. In putting together these packages, we've thought of everything from the flowers on the tables to the silver cake knife. We'll help make sure your wedding is one perfect day.

Wedding package one: $99 per guest

This package includes a specially-designed three-course set menu, a selection of house wines and, of course, your ultimate wedding venue. There are many special touches too, like printed menus and the opportunity to have your photos taken throughout Te Papa. We’ll take care of everything from the moment we welcome your guests with a drink, right through until they’re letting their hair down on the dance floor.

You can add to your chosen package with one of two table themes, each accented to match your special wedding colour.

Our second package includes all the carefully thought out touches included in our first package with a few additions. It includes a selection of canapés on arrival in addition to a divine three-course meal. You can also offer your guests a choice of mains if you will like to include, say, a fish or vegetarian option as an alternative to the meat course.
