Lost, preserved, recovered ...
On 24 August 79 AD, Mount Vesuvius erupted explosively, burying Pompeii under a crust of volcanic ash. For the next 17 Centuries, the city would remain lost, forgotten and preserved - a time-capsule. What was Pompeii like, before the sky fell and time stopped?
This exhibition unearths the story of daily life in Pompeii, revealing the last fateful day of the 10,000 to 12,000 inhabitants of this wealthy Roman city.
Imagine hosting private viewings for your clients and staff where they can experience the dramatic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in an immersive 3D theatre. Don't miss this behind-the-scenes glimpse into what was once a thriving town, now famous as the most tragic city of antiquity and a treasure trove of Roman civilisation.
