Earthquake Commission (EQC)
Since 2006, the Earthquake Commission has provided funding for the EQC Schools Programme. This programme has given more than 4,000 students from the Wellington region an educational experience at Te Papa. It has helped them learn about New Zealand’s natural landscape and natural disasters, including how to prepare for them.

Crown Forestry Rental Trust
Since 2011, the Crown Foresty Rental Trust has provided funding for students to experience the Matariki education programme at Te Papa. This funding is allocated to low-decile schools in the Wellington region. Schools are invited to apply for the funding each year.
