Come onto Te Papa’s marae to discover more about te ao Māori (the Māori world) through an informative and interactive education programme. Experience key aspects of a pōwhiri (welcoming ceremony), compare design features of two wharenui (meeting houses), and identify taonga Māori (cultural treasures), exploring their significance and uses.
