Neck and chest

The neck area depicts a broad beaded collar with the sky god Horus, son of the underworld god Osiris, at each end.

Below the collar is the kneeling figure of the winged sky goddess Nut, mother of Osiris. She holds ostrich feathers representing Ma’at, goddess of truth, justice, and cosmic order. Above are two wedjat (Eyes of Horus), guaranteeing health and protection in the afterlife. Funerary gods with staffs stand on either side of the scene.
