0508 freephone helpline 

In partnership with TelstraClear, National Services Te Paerangi provides a freephone helpline service - 0508 NSTP HELP. The first of its kind, the purpose of this service is to provide improved access to information and advice to museums beyond the Wellington region at no cost to the caller.

This service is in response to the museum sector requesting more direct contact with National Services Te Paerangi staff as reported in the Triennial Review completed in December 2005. While we cannot guarantee that there will be someone staffing the phone at all times due to the limited capacity of the team, we aim to return all calls made within the next working day.

By having an information kit at hand, the team will be able to act as a broker for information and respond quickly and efficiently to the needs of museums New Zealand wide. We would like to help you in these areas:

  • Care of Collections and Taonga
  • Public programmes (including exhibitions)
  • Customer service
  • Relationships with communities
