Ask us for an identification
We prefer you bring your specimens by hand to the museum, with the following information:
- Name of collector
- Location where the specimen was collected
- Date of collection
Please always contact us before coming or sending anything.

How to send your specimens
Pack your specimens well to prevent breakage. Here are some tips:
Larger specimens
Pack larger specimens in cartons, cushioned all around with packing material, ideally polystyrene foam chips or similar.
Please include this information with your package:
- Name of collector
- Location where the specimen was collected
- Date of collection
Smaller specimens
Send smaller dry specimens in containers that will not break or crush in the post, such as plastic or metal - not glass bottles unless they are well wrapped in packing material.
