Gisella Carr began as Director Funds Development in June 2006. In this role, Gisella is responsible for maintaining and building Te Papa’s relationships with sponsors.
Gisella has had an extensive career at a senior level in the cultural sector. This career has included consulting on creative industries projects throughout the country over the past ten years and teaching on Victoria University’s Master of Museum and Heritage Studies programme.
Gisella’s recent publications include Snapshot: Auckland’s Creative Industries (for the Auckland City Council) and Objects of Desire: Taking New Zealand Visual Arts and Crafts to the World (co-authored with Vivienne Stone for New Zealand Trade and Enterprise).
