Tracy Puklowski, General Manager National Services

Tracy Puklowski

Tracy Puklowski has been employed at Te Papa since February 2005, initially as Senior Curator Art. She took up the role of General Manager National Services Te Paerangi on 1 December 2005. National Services Te Paerangi is responsible for building capacity and providing support to museums throughout the country.

Tracy has been involved in the museums and galleries sector for over fifteen years. Her earliest roles included coordinating outreach services at National Archives (now Archives New Zealand), and Curator of Art Collections at Waikato Museum. Since then, she has been the Director of Te Awamutu Museum and Aratoi, Wairarapa Museum of Art and History. She has a strong commitment to capacity building in the sector; she was a founding trustee of Arts Waikato, the Chair of the Wairarapa Heritage Association, and assisted with the development of a regional Arts Culture and Heritage Strategy for the Wairarapa.

Tracy Puklowski has a Masters degree in Art History (Hons) from Auckland University and a Diploma in Museum Studies. She is also a graduate of the He Kāhui Kākākura Strategic Leadership Programme.
