Parking for visitors with disabilities
Special needs parking is available for people with disabilities. Five disabled car parks are available: two on the left of the car park entrance and three on the left as you enter the covered car parking section.

Overnight parking
Overnight parking can be arranged by visiting the car park exit booth on arrival. You must pay in advance and display the coupon at all times.
Conditions of parking
Open seven days a week.
A 50 cent surcharge on all credit card transactions
Pay as you leave at the exit booth.
Maximum daily will apply for lost ticket.
There is a free fifteen-minute set down time where you can drop people off and leave Te Papa without incurring a charge.
A $40 clamp removal fee applies for breaching parking conditions or failing to pre-pay for overnight parking.
Bus drivers
There is a designated area at the Cable Street entrance for buses to drop off and pick up passengers. Free bus parking is available on site. Te Papa Hosts will give you directions after your group has been dropped off.
