Enjoy art, lectures, and wine at Te Papa’s popular monthly art evening. August’s theme illuminates the new exhibition RITA ANGUS: Life & Vision.

 

6pm–6.50pm: RITA ANGUS: Life & Vision Curator Floortalk. Curators William McAloon and Jill Trevelyan give an insightful talk about this important exhibition. Meet at the entrance to The TOWER Gallery, Level 4. Free entry.

7pm–8.30pm. Lovely RITA – a film by Gaylene Preston. Rita Angus stood uncompromisingly alone among her generation. Her story – previously surrounded by secrecy – is told at last. Director Gaylene Preston introduces the screening. Soundings Theatre, Level 2. Free entry.
