In this talk, artist Lisa Reihana explores two of her major art works.

Her installation Mai i te aroha, ko te aroha was commissioned especially for Te Ara ā Hine. This is the ceremonial walkway that leads to Te Papa’s Marae, Rongomaraeroa.

The other work is her spectacular In pursuit of Venus, which is a contemporary reworking of Les Sauvages de la Mer Pacifique, a panoramic wallpaper depicting 19th century French and English voyages in the Pacific.
