These awesome toy cars are pushed along by the power of your breath escaping from an inflated balloon. Compressed gas also powers most cars you see on the road. In a combustion engine, petrol is sprayed into a cylinder (piston) and then ignited with a tiny spark. The explosion pushes the piston up. The process happens over and over, causing a fly wheel to turn, which forces the wheels around.
