Join us for a Friday or Saturday lunchtime concert by Catherine McKay, who plays Michael Parekowhai’s carved grand piano, He kōrero pūrākau mo te awanui o te motu: story of a New Zealand river.

Catherine was one of the pianists who performed at the Venice Biennale 2011, where Parekowhai’s piano appeared as the central work in his installation. This spectacular art work now features in Ngā Toi | Arts Te Papa, our new, changing programme of art on Level 5.
