Nau mai, haere mai, ki te whakanui i a Matariki.

Te Papa’s annual black-tie Matariki Gala is a highlight of Wellington’s social calendar, bringing together the city’s cultural, artistic, and corporate communities. Join us for an evening of entertainment, nostalgia, and delectable cuisine.

This year’s master of ceremonies is Pio Terei. The stellar evening of entertainment features Pacific Curls and the Howard Morrison Trio, with the home-grown sounds of Pōneke Toi Ora and the Rodger Fox Big Band taking you through to midnight.

Enjoy a Matariki-themed menu, specially created by Te Papa’s executive chef. And get a sneak peek at some of the gorgeous woven fashion on parade during the opening weekend of Kahu Ora | Living Cloaks.

A fund-raising auction is also being held during the evening, with all proceeds donated to the Matariki Education Fund.

This is a great opportunity to strengthen your Māori networks and mingle with political, cultural, and scientific leaders. It is also a fantastic way for you to entertain corporate guests or reward your staff.
