Phil Battley
Dr Phil Battley is a lecturer in zoology in the Ecology Group at Massey University. Most of his work has been on knots and bar-tailed godwits. His main interests are how birds manage to migrate vast distances and the consequences of individual variation in migratory behaviour.
Phil is involved in the Ornithological Society of New Zealand and is the principal investigator in their wader movements project.
