Scottish writer Janice Galloway is celebrated for her work across many forms. Hear this engaging author read from and discuss her work with Emily Perkins.

Janice Galloway has written short stories, novels, and prose poetry, and been involved in collaborations with visual artists and opera libretti. Most recently, her ‘anti-memoirs’, This is Not About Me and All Made Up, have won wide acclaim, including Scottish Book of the Year. Her writing is valued for its ‘lethal accuracy’, lyricism, and compassion.

Janice Galloway’s visit is jointly funded by the International Institute of Modern Letters and the Melbourne Writers’ Festival.

From mid July to October each year, Victoria University’s International Institute of Modern Letters (IIML) runs a series of events highlighting writers active in and around Wellington, as well as guests from overseas.

Writers on Mondays 2013 is hosted by Te Papa with additional support from Circa Theatre.

Please note that no food may be taken onto Te Marae.
