In September, we experience the talent emerging from the 2009 writing workshops at the International Institute of Modern Letters at Victoria University.
This week, ten writers completing MAs in creative writing read from poetry, fiction, and memoirs in progress. Carol Cromie, Claire Brunette, Pat White, Kay Corns, Joanne Davy, James Purtill, Helen Heath, Frances Mountier, Breton Dukes, and Elizabeth Russell are introduced by novelist Damien Wilkins.
Writers on Mondays
This series of free lunchtime events highlights established and emerging New Zealand writers, and occasional guests from overseas. This year, the line-up includes some of New Zealand's best poets and a host of new talent.
Writers on Mondays events are presented by Te Papa and the International Institute of Modern Letters, the home of Victoria University's renowned creative writing programme.
