Kiri's Dresses: A glimpse into a diva's wardrobe

Exhibition now closed
06 September 2003 – 1 August 2004

Kiri's Dresses: A glimpse into a diva's wardrobe is an intimate glimpse of Dame Kiri Te Kanawa’s life and career through her dresses, opera costumes, personal memorabilia, photographs, and film footage.

The exhibition spans her professional career from brilliant young singer to world-famous lyric soprano. Eighteen garments are displayed, all worn in memorable operas, recitals, concerts, and at other events. The events range from her first major singing competition and 21st birthday party to singing at Queen Elizabeth’s 50th Jubilee concert.
