This pro-choice march, which protested against New Zealand's abortion laws, was organised by the Women's National Abortion Action Campaign. Pro-choice campaigners insisted that women should have the right to terminate a pregnancy safely and legally.
The march took place in 1973, on the 80th anniversary of the historic day when New Zealand women gained the right to vote.
