Confrontational posters drummed up anti-Vietnam War support and showed growing anti American feeling in New Zealand. This example from 1966 shows 'Uncle Sam' (the US) as the grim reaper.

As the war dragged on, many people took their concerns to the streets. In 1971, a march in Auckland attracted 35,000 people.
