Immerse your students in our latest long-term exhibition. Slice of Heaven tells the big stories from New Zealand’s 20th century history – how the country:
- evolved from a loyal British colony into an increasingly independent nation
- developed its social welfare system – and then dismantled some of it
- underwent massive social change, sparked by the 1981 Springbok rugby tour and the struggle of women and gay people for rights
- saw Māori tenaciously confront a new world.
