Toi Te Papa - International and New Zealand Art from Te Papa's collection
He toi whakairo, he mana tangata.
Where there is artistic excellence, there is human dignity.
Toi Te Papa Art of the Nation is a major celebration of New Zealand’s rich and diverse artistic heritage. This long-term exhibition showcases hundreds of impressive artworks from Te Papa’s collections.
Iconic works from major artists like Heberley, Goldie, McCahon, Angus, Hotere, Albrecht, and Cotton sit alongside lesser-known treasures. Recurring themes and art movements are explored.
