Toi Te Papa Art of the Nation is a major celebration of New Zealand’s rich and diverse artistic heritage. This long-term exhibition showcases more than 300 impressive artworks from Te Papa’s collections.

Iconic works from major artists like Heberley, Goldie, McCahon, Angus, Hotere, Albrecht, and Cotton sit alongside lesser-known treasures. Recurring themes and art movements are explored.

The 'Contemporary focus' section features a six-monthly changing programme and the latest, Aspects of abstraction, explores form, colour, and texture through abstract art in New Zealand, with works spanning three decades. more>
