Individuals and small groups – daily tours
We have two 60-minute daily tours – Introducing Te Papa and Taste of Treasures (Māori cultural treasures).
These tours are ideal if you have limited time or want an overview before a longer visit. They:
- are for individuals and small groups
- are given in English
- require no booking – simply buy your ticket on the day at the Information Desk, Level 2. Taste of Treasures tickets need to be bought by 10.45am.
If you would like a tour in a language other than English, please book a private group tour.

Groups of seven or more – private group tours
Book a private group tour tailored to your interests or special needs.
Private group tours have a minimum cost, equivalent to the cost for seven adults. If you are an individual or smaller group, we suggest taking a daily tour (no booking required).
We can deliver private group tours in English, Māori, French, German, Spanish, and Mandarin.
