Learning outcome

To discover how much the students know about flight and wings.


Paper, glue, scissors, magazines/books/photocopies, Internet.


  1. In groups, students will find a range of creatures and flying objects using magazines, Internet, paper, or books.
  2. Students will describe the similarities and differences between the flying creatures and technologies.
  3. In their groups, students will create a poster of examples they have found. This can be added to over the course of the unit.
