Learning outcome

Students will identify a range of animals that have wings.

Resources

Paper, glue, scissors, magazines/books/photocopies. Internet, pens, felts.

Directions

  1. Discuss with the class the difference between flying and gliding animals, and the reasons why they fly and glide.
  2. Break the class into groups, each to research one flying and one gliding animal.
  3. Create a wallchart to present their findings.
