Celebrate this lively Mexican festival that honours the dead with a range of art 'aztivities' and a colourful procession. Bring a photo of a loved one to add to our altar.

11am: Waterfront procession
Don’t put those costumes away just yet! Join our vibrant waterfront procession with circus performers and mariachi music. The festivities begin at Museum of Wellington City & Sea, or Te Papa’s Wellington Foyer if wet.

11am–3pm: Aztivities for all
Te Marae, Level 4
Join us to make marigolds and papel picado. Get your face painted, and decorate a model skull with coloured icing, guided by Mexican artist William Franco. Add your own touch to a photo frame, and contribute a photograph or picture to our altar.
