Guide for educators planning a visit at Covid-19 Alert Level 2

Important information to help plan your education trip to Te Papa with Wellington at Alert Level 2.

Education visits

All guided education visits are on hold until Term 4 2021.

Self-guided education visits

You are welcome to self-guide at Alert Level 2. However, due to the restrictions that we have put in place in line with government guidelines, we have some new processes that we ask you to follow during your visit.

The main health and safety points are in the document below. Please read the following document prior to your visit with us, which should provide answers to any questions you may have.

Please complete the registration form below prior to your arrival. This is for contact tracing purposes only.

We ask your students to remain inside the bubble of your designated class groups. Teachers are responsible for managing and monitoring this. Please ensure that everyone keeps a two-metre distance from other visitors in the museum at all times.

Our bag cages are unavailable for use at Alert Level 2. Please leave all bags either at school, or on the bus. At Alert Level 2 we do not allow school groups to eat lunch on site.

Visitors over 12 are required to check in with the NZ COVID Tracer app where possible, and wear a mask or face covering during their time in the building.

To allow for physical distancing, we have reduced entry numbers at Alert Level 2. This means that there may be a wait to enter Te Papa. Our front of house team will help to monitor this situation.
