Who will I meet?

Paora Tibble is Kaiwhanake ā-Iwi | Iwi Development Advisor for National Services Te Paerangi. Paora is affiliated to Ngāti Porou, Tūwharetoa, Raukawa and Te Whānau-a-Apanui. Paora was the te reo Māori writer at Te Papa for over 6 years. During this time he has worked with various iwi, hapū and whānau in sharing the story of their taonga in Te Papa.

You will also meet other museum personnel in your region – a great networking opportunity!

Who is it for?

This is an introductory level workshop which gives ServiceIQ trainees and representatives from small museums, art galleries, heritage organisations and iwi organisations a great opportunity to learn more about the role of Māori in museums.

National Services Te Paerangi workshops are primarily for non-profit organisations in the museum and gallery sector and places may be restricted if there is high demand.

Note: If you are completing the ServiceIQ assessment on Day 2, you will need to be familiar with the content and concepts in the unit workbook before attending this session.
