About the Te Papa Foundation

The Te Papa Foundation is a registered charitable trust dedicated to supporting the work of Te Papa as New Zealand’s national museum and national art gallery.

Gathering and sharing treasures is at the core of Te Papa’s wonderful work.  Millions of New Zealanders and international visitors come through Te Papa’s doors or visit online.  Those visitors find exhibitions and stories that enlighten and educate about New Zealand’s history, its development, its people and achievements.

To remain at the forefront of international museums and art galleries, Te Papa requires greater financial support than that provided by central government. By joining the Foundation supporters will help enable Te Papa to continue to challenge and stimulate the curiosity of all generations through stronger collections, exhibitions, research and learning programmes.

Gifting - From the heart
