Conductor David Squire presents a programme of local and international music especially selected for Anzac Day, including:

  • ‘Lux Aeterna’, by David Hamilton
  • ‘Waerenga-a-Hika’, by Tuirina Wehi
  • ‘Ubi Caritas’, by Maurice Duruflé
  • ‘There Is a Balm in Gilead’, arrangement by William Dawson.

About the New Zealand Youth Choir

The 51-strong choir of 18- to 25-year-olds performs a rich repertoire – from music of the South Pacific and New Zealand, to Māori action songs and more traditional choral works.

The choir has won many awards overseas, including supreme title of Choir of the World in Wales in 1999, and Grand Prix at the International Festival of Academic Choirs 2016 in the Czech Republic.
