Hear United Nations Special Rapporteur Catalina Devandas Aguilar discuss the rights of people with disabilities across the world.

Catalina is an independent expert appointed by the United Nations Human Rights Council to monitor and promote the rights of persons with disabilities. Her work has focused on the rights of women and indigenous peoples with disabilities.

A lawyer by training, Catalina has experience supporting capacity-building with governments, national human rights institutions, and organisations of persons with disabilities in her home of Costa Rica and around the world.

This event is being held on behalf of the Human Rights Commission and IHC. There is an opportunity to ask questions.
