Unhappy city boy Diego is dispatched to spend the holidays at his grandfather Francisco’s rustic home in the Andes. The 11-year-old has never met Francisco before, and rural life comes as a shock – no TV, no electric lights, and icy outdoor showers! Yet his grandfather and the locals he meets – plus a magical blue apple tree – will mark him for the rest of his life.
