Experience a day of Ngāti Toa creativity at the Artists’ Pā – weaving, carving, tā mokotā moko Māori tattooing, taonga puorotaonga puoro Māori music instruments, kai Māorikai Māori Māori food, painting, and more.
This celebration of creative talent marks the end of the exhibition Whiti Te Rā! The story of Ngāti Toa Rangatira, and the tribe’s time as iwi in residence at Te Papa.

Whiti Te Rā! The story of Ngāti Toa Rangatira
Explore the successes, dramatic setbacks, and extraordinary resurgence of Ngāti Toa Rangatira, the local iwiiwi tribe in the Wellington region and the top of the South Island. Exhibition closes Friday 17 March 2017.

Kuhu mai ki Pā Ringatoi, te rā auaha toi o Ngāti Toa Rangatira – he raranga, he whakairo, he tā moko, he waiata, he kai Māori, he mahi kōwaiwai te karawhiu, me te nūi noa atu!
Ko tā tēnei whakaharinga pūkenga toi, he tohu i te katinga o Whiti Te Rā! Ngā kōrero tuku iho o Ngāti Toa Rangatira, i tōna noho hei mana iwi ki Te Papa.
