Hours and admission costs

Open every day of the year, including all public holidays.
Hours: 10am−6pm, and 10am−9pm on Thursdays.
Free entry, though charges apply to some short-term exhibitions and activities.

Te Papa Store – 9am–6pm, and 9am–9pm on Thursdays
Te Papa Kids' Store – 10am–6pm, and 10am–9pm on Thursdays
Te Papa Cafe – 9am–5pm
Level 4 Espresso – 10am–5.30pm, and 10am–8.30pm on Thursdays
Te Aka Matua Library – by appointment only, 10am–5pm Monday to Friday, closed public holidays
