Title
Two chicks, one nest: very long odds
Description
Against all odds, a female-female pair was able to incubate two eggs in one nest. Both chicks hatched. Since it's already so much work for parents to find enough food to raise even one chick, we knew two would be close to impossible. They lived for a couple of months, giving us rare insight into the behavior of "twins." We never gave up hope for their survival. Their very existence touched the hearts of everyone who knew about them.
