Te Papa to provide free professional learning opportunities in Computer Science

We’re pleased to announce that we're the recipient of Google’s 2018 Computer Science Educator Grant.

About the programme

With this Google grant we’re able to provide ‘The CS Educator Professional Learning Programme’.

This is a set of one-day face-to-face teacher learning events. They’re for teachers who wish to understand and develop their skills to help them teach Computer Science to Y7–Y10 classes.

These free programmes will take place in Wellington, Auckland, Napier, and Northland.

Curriculum links

The programme supports teaching and learning of Computer Science, with links to the New Zealand Curriculum, Te Mārautanga o Aotearoa, and the Digital Technologies and Hangarau Matihiko curricula.

Dates

This programme will be delivered in November 2018.

More information on dates, venues, and programme agenda will be announced in July.
