explore the rhythms of the maramataka and ways we can organise teaching practices in relation to it with Kaupapa Māori Learning Specialist, Leroy de Thierry.
observe the characteristics of mamaku, ponga, and whekī, (tree ferns) and consider their whakapapa with Curator Botany, Leon Perrie.
consider how to relate to mātauranga Māori in ways that honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi and imagine rich inquiries in relation to the online resource, Ko au te taiao with Head of Learning, Sarah Hopkinson.
