The resource

The resource includes:

  • analysis cards to help students interpret Culbert’s art works

  • a Wellington waterfront sculpture trail map with contextual information on 11 public art works

  • question cards and worksheets to help students study the context of any public sculpture

  • a visual arts project brief for students to create their own sculpture in response to a particular context.

This resource was created in association with Front Door Out Back, Bill Culbert’s exhibition for the New Zealand Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2013.
