Rākau: The Ancient Forests of Aotearoa is a beautifully illustrated guide to the rākau and ngahere of Aotearoa for young readers.

Celebrate this new Te Papa Press book with us! We’ll have copies available to read and buy.

At this hands-on drop-in session, we’ll also explore the unique shapes and textures of rau (leaves) from different rākau. Using crayon rubbing, you’ll start your own collection of leaf rubbings to take home.
