Yona Lee's Kit-set In-transit bends the gallery space into a pseudo-domestic dream. The twists, turns and surprises delight and enchant; the bed invites a taboo – visitors are welcome to lie down, cuddle in and be part of this strange domestic scene.

Taking Lee's playful, curious work as a starting point, two picture-book authors discuss the domestic-weird in their work: how homelife informs and inspires the creation of picture books; and how the domestic is an inherently playful yet also high-stakes space for art designed for families.

With Ruth Paul, Juliette MacIver and Claire Mabey.

This is part of a series of events for readers and writers curated by Verb Wellington. Across the series, writers will lead us into their strange and playful dream-worlds, inspired by the artworks and exhibitions on show in Toi Art.
