Dahlia Malaeulu is a multi-award-winning Sāmoan author and publisher based in Wellington, Aotearoa. She is the founder of Mila’s Books, the world’s only all-Pasifika publishing company, producing stories that help Pasifika tamaiti feel seen, heard, and valued. Dahlia created the Tusitala Mentoring Programme, supported over 100 first-time Pasifika authors, and has written well over thirty titles and published numerous titles across picture books, middle-grade novels, and wellbeing resources. In 2025, Mila’s Books won the prestigious Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers – Oceania. Dahlia currently serves on the board of Read NZ Te Pou Muramura, and shares Pacific stories with over 10,000 tamaiti annually across Aotearoa.
