Te Papa cares for New Zealand’s national art collection, with artworks you can explore in Toi Art on Levels 4 and 5.
Now it’s your turn to think like an artist and create your own collection! Download the Your Art Collection colouring sheet and imagine you’re filling your very own museum.
What will you create? A landscape, portrait, abstract artwork, pattern, or an imagined scene?

One winner from each age category will receive a Toa Tamariki prize pack valued at up to $100, and have their artwork displayed at Te Papa.

How to enter
This competition is open to tamariki aged 7 and under, and 8 to 12 years.
Complete the Your Art Collection colouring activity.
Take a clear photo or scan of your artwork.
Email it to giveaways@tepapa.govt.nz by Thursday 8th October 2026.
One entry per child. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.
