Claire Regnault is Senior Curator New Zealand Histories and Cultures at Te Papa and has worked as in the art gallery and museum sector since 1994. Her curatorial practice is eclectic in nature and she is particularly passionate about New Zealand’s fashion history.
She is the author of Dressed (Te Papa Press, 2021), winner of the 2022 Ockham New Zealand Book Award for Illustrated Non-Fiction. Her other fashion titles include The Dress Circle: Fashion Design in New Zealand Since 1940 (Godwit, 2010) with Douglas Lloyd Jenkins and Luch Hammonds, and The New Zealand Gown of the Year (HBCT, 2003). She is President of Costume and Textiles Aotearoa New Zealand, and a member of the Eden Hore Central Otago steering group.
