Returning Māori ancestral remains to Aotearoa New Zealand.

Te Papa has returned over 400 Māori ancestors to AotearoaAotearoa New Zealand by repatriating ancestral remains, including toi mokotoi moko tattooed preserved heads, from around the world.

Neke atu i te 400 ngā tūpuna kua whakahokia mai e Te Papa ki Aotearoa. He nui tonu ngā kōiwi, ngā toi moko kei ngā kohinga taonga kei rāwāhi e mau ana, kei ngā kohinga puta noa i te ao.
